Many Thanks - And An Invitation to a New Journey

I want to take a moment to thank so many people for participating in Advent Longings (our 2010 Advent devotional). Our expectations were exceeded with over 300 individual subscribers, and an additional 30 churches who distributed paper copies. I pray that your Advent and Christmas celebrations were made more meaningful by reading those devotionals each day.

The creators of Advent Longings are inviting you to join us on another daily devotional journey through the season of Lent. We've assembled a team of 8 collaborators, and will be publishing daily devotionals right here at www.LentenJourney.org.

Before Lent even begins, we could use your help spreading the word. On facebook, you can become a fan of our page. Or, you can follow us on twitter. We rely entirely on word-of-mouth, email, and social media, and we'd love to share our devotionals with as many people as possible.

If you already received Advent Longings by email, you'll continue to receive our devotionals each morning in your inbox. If not, there are instructions in the side-bar at the left.  (And, if you don't want to get our emails anymore, there are instructions to unsubscribe at the end of each email).

Thank you for joining us on this journey toward the cross and the empty tomb.

As we journey together through Lent, we echo this prayer of Paul: "I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead." Phil. 3:10-11

Grace and Peace,

The Advent Longings & Lenten Journey Team
